One of the strengths of "Age of Ultron" is the character development. While the first Avengers film was primarily focused on bringing the team together, this film explores the individual characters in more depth. We see Iron Man grappling with the consequences of his actions, Captain America struggling to find his place in the modern world, Thor wrestling with his responsibilities as a god, and the Hulk dealing with his inner turmoil. These personal struggles add an emotional weight to the film that was missing from the first Avengers movie.

The new characters, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, also add an interesting dynamic to the team. Quicksilver has superhuman speed, while Scarlet Witch has the power to manipulate reality. Both characters have a personal vendetta against the Avengers, and their motivations for joining the fight against Ultron are complex.
